Ema Twumasi continues to get valuable experience while playing on loan with the OKC Energy FC. He showed off his pace against Fresno FC this past Saturday, and rewarded himself with an assist. The OKC Energy ultimately would fall to Fresno 2-1.
Ema Twumasi highlights vs Fresno:
The only FC Dallas starter for the Energy on Saturday was Twumasi, who got a full 90 minutes of action. He picked up an assist in the 21st minute to even the match’s score. Twumasi received the ball on the run on the outside of the box, took his defender on one-vs-one, and played an inch-perfect cross to Jaime Siaj to score OKC’s 3rd goal of the season.

Twumasi needs more consistency when he makes plays with the ball, but that is what these minutes with OKC Energy are for. It is nice to see Twumasi’s name on the scoresheet for the first time.
Twumasi showed his blistering speed almost every time he got the ball. Comparing Twumasi to a couple of FC Dallas’ speedy wingers from the past few years, Twumasi seems tactically to be a little closer in style to Fabian Castillo than to Michael Barrios. While Michael Barrios uses his speed to make dangerous runs, Fabian Castillo likes to get the ball and then run with pace at his defenders. That is what Twumasi seems to do as well. He likes to make himself open, receive the ball from a teammate, and than go at the opposition.
Next on the Schedule:
OKC Energy FC will next play at home against Portland Timbers 2 next Saturday, April 7. Adonijah Reid and the Ottawa Fury FC will also play that day away against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
