Anytime you get a win on the road in MLS, people tend to take notice. That was certainly the case this week after FC Dallas scored a shutout win against New England.
MLSSoccer.com (This week: 7, Last Week: 7)
Comment: Jacori Hayes’ early-season success was rewarded with the winning goal against the Revs. The second-year pro looks like a transformed player as he’s taking advantage of his chance in Oscar Pareja’s lineup.
ESPNFC (This week: 13, Last Week: 15)
Comment: In very quiet fashion FC Dallas are unbeaten through their first five after Saturday’s 1-0 victory in New England. The fewest goals conceded thus far? Believe it.
Soccer America (This week: 4, Last week: 7)
Comment: FCD handled its first road game of the season very well: Jacori Hayes marked a strong showing by scoring the only goal, and keeper Jimmy Maurer (six saves) came to the rescue when needed.
Pro Soccer USA (This week: 5, Last week: 10)
Comment: FCD remains the only unbeaten team other than NYCFC. Getting three points in Foxborough against a New England side that previously was unbeaten in the last four matches shows this Dallas squad is solid.
