Workhorse of the Week vs New England Revolution

After some lackluster weeks, FC Dallas gritted a huge win on the road. Maybe the season has really begun? Cast your vote for the top player from last weekend’s vital road win.

Congratulations to Jacori Hayes for his Workhorse of the Week. Without a doubt, he and Roland Lamah are the stars of this season thus far.

Away Points Are Delicious

With FC Dallas struggling to capture three points at home, many of us were feeling pretty cynical about the direction of the season and the team. The only way you can make up lost points at home is to win on the road, a difficult task in parity-laden Major League Soccer. But last weekend, FC Dallas got a vintage win off of a big goal from star Jacori Hayes and defensive work from Matt Hedges, Jimmy Maurer, and company. Oscar Pareja did what many fans wanted - he shook things up, putting in some new faces and fresh legs to see what happened.

You better believe those guys who sat some last weekend, like Mauro Diaz and Carlos Gruezo and others, are going to be lighting up practice to earn a starting spot again.

Three points on the road help make up for some of the lapses in the first few weeks, easing a bit of pressure off this squad. Let’s hope more are on the way.

The Big Question Remains

What is the best lineup going to be for this team? Who will be left out? I think it’s time for FC Dallas to carve out their space in the league as the team that signs DPs but delights in pushing those DPs to the bench in favor of young homegrowns, especially when those youngsters play with more energy and skill.
