FC Dallas vs New England Revolution: Match Predictions

Staff are shaking things up this week!

MLS: New England Revolution at FC Dallas Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas are still unbeaten, but there’s a sense of disappointment that still lingers in the air around these parts. Four games at home to start the season, gifted with a couple of red cards in their favor, and Dallas still has managed only one win. (Did anyone notice that I literally left the text exactly the same as last week? Minus the ‘four games’ part?)

Dallas hits the road for the first time this season and take on a surging New England Revolution. The results are there, but I’m still skeptical of Brad Friedal’s tactics as a coach. Then again, I’ve predicted nothing right this season, so maybe I shouldn’t say much more here.

The staff are continuing to make picks this season and we’re going with a very simple points system:

Correct Result Prediction: 1pt

Correct Score: 2pts

Here’s where we stand after three matches:

Here are our staff predictions against New England:

FCD vs SEA

Name Result for FCD FCD Score Opposition Score Commentary
Name Result for FCD FCD Score Opposition Score Commentary
Ben Lyon Win 2 1 The smug comments from Sounders fans this week...
Jack Rous Win 2 0 How do they do it? Ricardo Pepi
Jason Poon Loss 0 2 It's been fun but I'm not seeing a way out of Seattle with a win.
Jeff Loftin Loss 1 2 Close loss after controversial play at the other end which mysteriously doesn't get VAR treatment.
Mohammad Bushnaq Loss 1 2 Valiant effort but Dallas falls short in the Pacific NW for their revenge bid.
Nathan Hill Draw 2 2 FC Dallas advance on PKs and claim the Cascadia Cup. Goals from Jara and Pepi.
Ryan Scanlon Loss 1 3 Seattle’s quality and combination play will be too much for FC Dallas which will not let us get away with what we pulled off against Portland. Michael Barrios gives us a glimmer of hope with a goal before Jordan Morris and Nick Lodeiro put this out of reach.

What do you guys think? Are you optimistic of Dallas’ chances to see a second win this season? Are in for our first loss? Let us know below and be sure to look out for our game thread later this afternoon!
