We can finally say it is official. FC Dallas announced on Monday morning the signing of 23-year old Colombian attacker Santiago Mosquara from Colombian first division side, Millonarios FC.

Mosquera will be added to the roster as a Young Designated Player pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and P-1 Visa. He will occupy an international spot on the FC Dallas roster. No official word on how much the transfer was actually for as it was once rumored to be near $4 million.

Mosquera has played 54 games and scored eight goals in the Colombian top division. Mosquera captured the 2017 Clausura title with Millonarios. He made one appearance for the club in Copa Libertadores.

The biggest part of this move may be the fact that he is another versatile attacker for Oscar Pareja. He can slot in behind Mauro Diaz in the number 10 role, be a winger, or be a second striker.

We have been following this move for a couple weeks now as the deal was originally reported back at the end of January. Over the weekend he was shown at Toyota Stadium before a preseason friendly.

What do you make on this news? Happy to see that this deal finally came through?
