Keeping up with the hectic FC Dallas offseason

FC Dallas has been linked to several players this offseason, time for a mid January update.

It has been a hectic offseason for FC Dallas, with many departures, and hints of more departures to come. With all of the roster upheaval going on, it is not surprising that we got off to an equally hectic funny season. In the past couple of weeks, things have slowed down a bit, but recent activity calls for an update.

This is an update on the players that FC Dallas has been linked to, so far this offseason. Some of these moves have gone south on FCD, but a player looks to now be in the fold.

Antonio Romero, Right Wing, Zamora FC (Venezuela)

All reports out of Venezuela indicate that this is a done deal. Romero is reported to be leaving for Frisco as early as Saturday. Only days removed from his 22nd birthday, he is a wing player with a ton of upside.

Reece Oxford, Center Back, West Ham United (England)

With a 7 Million dollar price tag, this seems like a far fetched addition. Rumors of a 12 million dollar offer out of Germany, all but puts this signing out of FCD’s reach.

Yeferson Soteldo, Left Wing, Huachipato (Venezuela)

The Yeferson Soteldo story finally came to a conclusion, as Santos FC (Brazil) came through with exactly Huachipato was asking for. Santos FC will pay 3.5 million dollars for 50% of his rights.

Kevin Rosas, Midfielder, Academia Tahuichi

Kevin is an 18 year old midfielder, who stands 6 foot tall, and weighs 152 pounds. He will join FCD on January 8, for a three-week trial with the senior team.

Kevin Peña, Goal Keeper, Allstate Sueño Alianza

Not much is known about Kevin. Heis very likely a trialist for North Texas SC, or a new addition to the FCD Academy

Frankie Martinez, Allstate Sueño Alianza

Not much is known about Frankie. He is very likely a trialist for North Texas SC, or a new addition to the FCD Academy

Sam Gardner, Defender, Grand Canyon University

Shoutout to FC_Dallas FR for this one. Sam is a recent GCU graduate, and is currently trying out for North Texas SC. Here’s everything you need to know about this All-Conference player:
