Europe

Weston McKennie (AP - Schalke 04/Bundesliga): Weston suited up Sunday against visiting Hannover 96. Weston came on in the 63rd minute, with Schalke holding on to a 1-0 lead. Weston was in the midst of having a solid day, when disaster struck, as Weston suffered a knee injury and had to be replaced in the 83rd minute. Schalke would allow Hannover 96 to score soon after, and would have to settle for the draw.

The draw sees Schalke 04 remain 3rd place in the Bundesliga Table.

It was a tense day or two, while fans braced for potentially bad news:

It could have been worse, and now we wait to see if McKennie can return in time to make a difference for his team.
