FC Dallas sends $200k in allocation to Montreal.

MLS: MLS Super Draft Derik Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas was a mover on draft day as they traded away $200k in general allocation money to the Montreal Impact for the fourth pick. With that pick Oscar Pareja and company selected Generation adidas forward from the University of Michigan, Francis Atuahene.

Atuahene was arguably one of the top prospects in this draft as several draft boards had him going as high as number one.

The 21-year old scored 24 goals in three season for Michigan. The Ghanian-board speedster came to the USA from the Right to Dream Academy.

Atuahene is definitely a player that Pareja can mold and bring off the bench early in the season on the wings. His speed and ability on the ball is something that should fit the club’s system really well.

What do you make of FC Dallas trading allocation money to get into the top five? Stay tuned for more draft picks as FCD is still currently on the board at #11.
