Here is your match thread for tonight’s game.

MLS: FC Dallas at Portland Timbers Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

We’re in!

Jesse with a BIG save!

Defense comes up big

Same lineup as last week

FC Dallas looks to retain the top spot in the Western Conference and lock up a playoff berth as they visit the Portland Timbers on Saturday evening.

The two sides are coming off opposite results from last week as Dallas won in Vancouver, while Portland stumbled badly in Minnesota.

FC Dallas notes:

Last time against Portland. The two sides met way back in March in Frisco where the score ended 1-1 after Sebastian Blanco canceled out an early Roland Lamah goal.

Key player. Cristian Colman- Hey, if he earned the starting spot last week, then it is on him to make it count this week again on the road. He did well to put himself in good spots but he has to find a finishing touch here to continue starting. Maybe that national team call up will boost his confidence a bit.

Win and in. FC Dallas can lock up a playoff spot tonight with a win over Portland or a loss by LA and RSL.
