GOAL FCD! Lamah levels it
Reggie to Barrios to Lamah. Nice tic-tac-toe answer from Dallas. Cannon wins two challenges to regain possession and bring the ball into the box. 1-1. #FCDvSJ pic.twitter.com/jz9hRtMD9A

GOAL San Jose
San Jose strikes first going the other way off a Dallas set piece. Nice run by Vako, Hedges can’t match pace, Jesse comes way off his line and can’t connect. 1-0 Quakes. #FCDvSJ pic.twitter.com/ILeU6gTKBF

— San Jose Earthquakes (@SJEarthquakes) August 4, 2018
The month of August is upon us here as FC Dallas begins their playoff push when they host the San Jose Earthquakes.
Both teams are going in opposite directions these days as FC Dallas is fresh off a big win in KC, while the Quakes just picked up a draw against RSL. The Quakes only have two wins to their name this year, both against Minnesota.
FC Dallas notes:
Last year against San Jose. The two sides met twice with the San Jose getting the better end of the season series with a 1-0 win in Dallas and a 1-1 draw in San Jose.
Fortress Frisco. FC Dallas is one of four MLS teams (NYCFC (10-0-1), Portland (6-0-3), LAFC (5-0-5) and FCD (7-0-4)) with an unbeaten home record this season. Dallas has a 17-game unbeaten streak at home since Aug. 12, 2017. It is the second longest streak in franchise history, with the longest being a 19-game streak from Aug. 29, 2015 to Sept. 10, 2016.
Oscar eyes 100. Oscar Pareja is eyeing his 100th MLS regular season victory and 75th with FC Dallas. A win over San Jose would make Pareja the ninth coach to reach the century mark and would be the third fastest to reach 100victories. Only Bruce Arena (188) and Bob Bradley (199) have hit 100 at a faster pace than what would be Pareja’s 226 games.
Key player. Michael Barrios - If he indeed has the hot feet, then you run as much through him as possible tonight. It may be as simple as that against this San Jose defense.
Injury Report
OUT: Santiago Mosquera (left hamstring strain)
LOAN: Anibal Chala (L.D.U. Quinto), Adonijah Reid (Ottawa)
San Jose Notes:
International duty: none
Suspended: none
Injury Report:
OUT: D - Kevin Partida (right ACL reconstruction surgery and partial meniscectomy)
Not looking good. The Earthquakes are winless in their last 12 league games (7L-5D), their longest such stretch since 2014-15.
