Squad Selection: What changes does FC Dallas make against Minnesota?

Two straight losses may bring us some big changes to the starting XI.

FC Dallas returns to Texas for their last home game of the month as they take on Minnesota United this weekend.

After last weekend’s 2-1 loss in Seattle, a lot make be said of what Oscar Pareja does with his lineup this weekend. We saw the debut of Dominique Badji last week in a 4-2-3-1 type of look. But could this be a weekend the formation shifts even more to make way for Pablo Aranguiz? His debut in the second half gave us a decent glimpse of what he could have to offer this club but it means some shifting in the formation a bit to make it happen. Maybe we see the 4-3-3 again that worked so well when Mauro Diaz was still here. Or something else?

We know that FC Dallas appealed Reto Ziegler’s red card against Seattle earlier this week, but as of this writing, nothing has been announced about whether or not that was upheld. I would imagine that the longer we wait, the less likely FCD will have Ziegler this weekend.

Here is what we know in terms of availability for Saturday’s game (some of the loaned players could end up not being on loan, those are fluid each week):

SUSPENDED: Reto Ziegler

QUESTIONABLE: Santiago Mosquera (hamstring)

LOAN: Anibal Chala (L.D.U. Quinto), Adonijah Reid (Ottawa), Brandon Servania (Tulsa), Jesus Ferreira (Tulsa)
