The season continues to roll on as FC Dallas begins the second half of the 2018 campaign with a trip to Utah to battle rivals Real Salt Lake.
Both teams are coming off big July 4th wins as FCD knocked off Atlanta in thrilling fashion while RSL downed Sporting KC 4-2.
FC Dallas notes:
Last time against RSL. The two squad faced off at the beginning of the season in Frisco as they ended that game level on a 1-1 draw.
Recent success at Rio Tinto. FC Dallas is 1-0-1 in their last two trips to Sandy, UT. Dallas won 3-0 in its last trip to Salt Lake City on May 6, 2017. Maxi Urruti scored in the third minute via PK and with a smart finish in stoppage-time and Matt Hedges scored FCD’s second goal in the 67th minute.
Key player. Maxi Urruti - As we saw late in the game on Wednesday against Atlanta, Urruti was a catalyst to setting up Tesho Akindele’s first goal. FC Dallas will need more of that out of him and guys like Roland Lamah or Santiago Mosquera.
