FC Dallas is back in action tonight as they host the Montreal Impact.
FCD are unbeaten in their last seven games across all competitions while the Impact are coming off a 1-0 win over Houston after losing four straight.
FC Dallas notes:
Last time against Montreal. The two sides met once last year in Canada with FC Dallas coming out on top thanks to a solid performance from Cristian Colman in a 2-1 win.
Key player. Mauro Diaz. We saw Mauro get some much needed rest on Wednesday in the USOC, which means he should be very fresh for this one. Oscar Pareja has been using him in a false-wing approach as of late and has been getting some success out of him in the process. Montreal has struggled defensively in the last ten games, where they lost eight of those. Diaz should have a good day against that defense.
At home success. FC Dallas hasn’t lost at Toyota Stadium in 14 matches dating back to August 12, 2017. Dallas’ last loss in Frisco was a 4-0 defeat to the Vancouver Whitecaps on July 29, 2017. This stretch matches the second-longest unbeaten run at home in team history. FCD played 19 home matches without a loss from August 29, 2015-September 3, 2016.
