Squad Selection: Does FC Dallas have enough gas in the tank to take down Montreal?

New, 2 comments

After more roster rotation, FC Dallas has some opportunity for new faces again on Saturday to emerge.

MLS: U.S. Open Cup-FC Dallas vs San Antonio Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

The busiest stretch of the season for FC Dallas so far is about to come to a close as they return home Saturday evening to host the Montreal Impact.

Oscar Pareja has done a great job of juggling his lineup as of late, finding wins in four straight matches, including last nights win in the US Open Cup. We saw several big names get the rest that they needed in San Antonio. That means we should see the likes of Reto Ziegler, Maxi Urruti, Ryan Hollingshead, Mauro Diaz and Carlos Gruezo back in the Dallas lineup on Saturday.

Will there be any other juggling? Guys like Victor Ulloa, Matt Hedges and Reggie Cannon have gotten a lot of minutes as of late. Do any of them get rotated out?

Here is what we know in terms of availability for Saturday’s game (some of the loaned players could end up not being on loan, those are fluid each week):

OUT: Kris Reaves (core muscle), Anton Nedyalkov (broken collar bone)

LOAN: Anibal Chala (L.D.U. Quinto), Francis Atuahene (OKC Energy), Ema Twumasi (OKC Energy), Adonijah Reid (Ottawa), Jesus Ferreira (Tulsa), Jordan Cano (OKC Energy), Brandon Servania (Tulsa)
