Squad Selection: How does FC Dallas respond after their Open Cup loss?

We’ve seen some roster tinkering on the road this year, what changes happen in New York?

MLS: U.S. Open Cup-Sporting KC vs FC Dallas Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

As the World Cup continues to dominate headlines, MLS gets back into action this weekend with their ‘break’ ending. FC Dallas is heading to the Big Apple to take on the New York Red Bulls for the only time this season.

Lately we’ve seen a good amount of roster rotation out of Oscar Pareja when the club is on the road. Last week in the Open Cup match at SKC, Pareja opted to not bring Mauro Diaz as he went back to a 4-4-2 look after several games in a row in a 4-3-3.

What kind of lineup makes sense this weekend is the big question. Do you go defensive like we’ve seen Pareja go on the road or try to match the Red Bull’s pace with midfielders?

Here is what we know in terms of availability for Saturday’s game (some of the loaned players could end up not being on loan, those are fluid each week):

OUT: Kris Reaves (core muscle), Anton Nedyalkov (broken collar bone), Cristian Colman (high ankle sprain)

QUESTIONABLE: Santiago Mosquera (hamstring)

LOAN: Anibal Chala (L.D.U. Quinto), Francis Atuahene (OKC Energy), Ema Twumasi (OKC Energy), Adonijah Reid (Ottawa), Jesus Ferreira (Tulsa), Jordan Cano (OKC Energy), Brandon Servania (Tulsa)
