Squad Selection: How will the international call-ups affect FC Dallas in D.C.?

Some big names are out of the lineup this week for FC Dallas.

MLS: Orlando City SC at FC Dallas Andrew Dieb-USA TODAY Sports

The road to a top seed in the Western Conference playoffs stops in our nation’s capital this weekend as FC Dallas takes on D.C. United for the only meeting of the regular season between the two sides.

Last week FC Dallas picked up three big points against Orlando and did so with a couple noticeable changes to the lineup by Oscar Pareja. He brought in Pablo Aranquiz to the wings over Santiago Mosquera, who came off the bench for him in the second half and was an immediate impact for the team scoring the game-winner. Does Pareja bring him back in over Aranquiz or does he try that for a second straight week?

Also, who replaces Carlos Gruezo in the midfield for this round. Does Abel Aguilar have enough in his tank to go 90 minutes or will we see more of Jacori Hayes?

Here is what we know in terms of availability for Saturday’s game (some of the loaned players could end up not being on loan, those are fluid each week):

OUT: Kris Reaves (foot fracture), Cristian Colman (torn ACL)

LOAN: Anibal Chala (L.D.U. Quinto), Adonijah Reid (Ottawa), Moises Hernandez (San Antonio)

INTERNATIONAL DUTY: Reggie Cannon (USA), Maynor Figueroa (Honduras), and Carlos Gruezo (Ecuador)
