FC Dallas finally ended their ten game slump with an big 2-0 win over the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday night. The win marks the first time Dallas has picked up three points for the first time since late July.

Dallas got two goals in the first ten minutes of the match off of assists from Hernan Grana.

FC Dallas got on the board five minutes into the match on a quick restart by Mauro Diaz. The Dallas playmaker found Grana on the right wing where he quickly played the ball across the entire goal. Maynor Figueroa was there at the back post to hammer it into the back of the net.

Less than four minutes later Dallas doubled their lead with another assist from Grana. This time Grana was tracked down a ball on the end line before playing it back across the goal where Roland Lamah was there to score his ninth of the season.

Diaz nearly made it a three goal lead in the 34th minute as he danced around three Rapids defenders in the middle of the penalty box before hitting a shot that forced Tim Howard to make a diving save.

Dallas kept the momentum up in the second half as they came close once again to a third goal, this time from Carlos Gruezo. Unfortunately for Gruezo he was whistled offside for tapping the ball into the back of the net. The league’s new video replay assistant was not brought in to review the play.

FC Dallas returns to action this weekend as they head to Florida to battle Orlando City.
