The summer slump for FC Dallas is extending into fall as they drew the New York Red Bulls 2-2 on Saturday night in front of a sell-out crowd.

Dallas got second half goals from Mauro Diaz and Hernan Grana.

FC Dallas had to play the final 60 minutes with ten men as rookie Jacori Hayes picked up two quick yellow cards late in the first half.

Shortly after the ejection New York found their first goal of the game from Sasha Kljestan. Alex Muyl played Bradley Wright-Phillips near the top of the Dallas penalty box. Wright-Phillips took clever back heel touch to play Kljestan who then took one touch around Atiba Harris before firing off a shot past Jesse Gonzalez.

FC Dallas was able to tie the game up in the 55th minute thanks to a long ball from Victor Ulloa to Michael Barrios on the right side of the field. Barrios froze his defender with smart pass back across the middle of the penalty box to Grana who was able to hammer home his first goal of the season.

The level match was short lived as New York earned a free kick from 30 yards out in the 57th minute where Kljestan found Aaron Long on the back post to head in the go-ahead goal.

FC Dallas tied the game up on a penalty kick from Diaz in the 75th minute. Barrios helped set up the play as he drove into the penalty box and was brought down by Tyler Adams. Diaz stepped up to the penalty and sent it past Luis Robles.

FC Dallas returns to action next weekend as they travel to Georgia to face Atlanta United FC for the first time.
