Once again, FCD uses a team that isn’t their USL affiliate.

FC Dallas has been making more use of out loaning players to the USL in recent weeks with rookie midfielder Jacori Hayes getting a run at the Tulsa Roughnecks. This week another player will head north to the USL as Homegrown defender Aaron Guillen has been loaded out for the weekend to Tulsa.

Guillen will be available for Saturday’s match with Reno 1868 FC.

The 24-year-old has been with FC Dallas the past two seasons. This year, he has made six appearances in MLS, including four starts and has played a total 374 minutes.

This is a good chance for Guillen to earn some minutes as the main players on the back line has finally gotten healthy here in recent weeks.

This has been a pretty interesting set up as Tulsa is actually Chicago’s USL affiliate, where as Oklahoma City Energy FC are FCD’s true affiliate. FCD has only loaned one player out to OKC this season with Coy Craft earning some minutes back in the spring.

Does this mean the partnership with OKC is truly over? Not necessarily, but it seems as through FCD is looking to loan players out as much as they can no matter where they end up.
