Five FC Dallas players called into international duty

With World Cup qualifiers, Oscar Pareja will have some rotation to deal with.

FC Dallas' Kellyn Acosta (U.S.), Matt Hedges (U.S.), Carlos Gruezo (Ecuador), Maynor Figueroa (Honduras) and Tesho Akindele (Canada) have all been called in by their respective national teams for the current FIFA International Date running August 28 through September 5.

Acosta and Hedges will travel to Red Bull Arena, where the U.S. will face Costa Rica in a FIFA 2018 World Cup Qualifying match on Friday, September 1. The U.S. will then travel to Estadio Olimpico in San Pedro Sula, Honduras to battle teammate, Maynor Figueroa on Tuesday, September 5.

Prior to hosting the U.S., Figueroa and Honduras open this international window against Trinidad and Tobago on September 1.

Gruezo and Ecuador will look to move up in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying table as they travel to Porto Alegre to face Brazil on August 31. Ecuador is currently in sixth place in CONMEBOL qualifying.

Akindele is looking to return to action with the Canadian National Team in a friendly against Jamaica at BMO Field on Saturday, September 2.

With all five receiving calls over the next week, it will make things interesting for Oscar Pareja has he juggles his lineup again here this season. On Saturday, FCD will host New York Red Bulls.
