FC Dallas is coming back to town with another draw as they tied the Houston Dynamo 1-1 on Friday night.

The lone Dallas goal came in the second half from Maxi Urruti, his team-high ninth goal of the season.

Houston got on the board first in the 18th minute on a counter attack from Erick Torres. The Mexican forward got in one-to-one against Matt Hedges and was able to beat him before firing a hard shot past Jesse Gonzalez.

Dallas had several chances in the first half to tie the match but none tested Tyler Deric enough.

FCD managed to tie the match in the 59th minute on a goal from Urruti. Mauro Diaz and Michael Barrios helped set up the goal on some quick passing on the right side of the penalty box before finding Urruti who finished home the tying goal.

Both sides traded attempts late in the game but once again nothing tested either keeper’s goal.

The draw kept the two Texan sides from reaching the top of the Western Conference with Sporting KC.

FC Dallas returns to action next Tuesday as they host the Colorado Rapids in the fifth round of the US Open Cup.
