The Oklahoma City Energy FC return to action this Saturday against the Vancouver Whitecaps 2 at UBC Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver, Canada.

This match is coming off of an away loss to the Seattle Sounders 2 on Monday night. The contest between the two green sides was an enjoyable spectacle that had plenty of action. The Energy were down for most of the match but a huge comeback led to them tying the match at two apiece. However, this all went away in the 90th minute when Seattle’s Lorenzo Ramos cross the ball into the box to an unmarked Olsen. Olsen controlled the ball and placed it past Energy FC goalkeeper Cody Laurendi.

The night wasn’t all bitter with defeat. Energy FC striker Andy Craven received his MLS championship ring from the Seattle Sounders organization after being a part of the squad that won the trophy last season. In addition to Craven’s warm night, he was able to grow his scoring tally by adding one of the Energy’s two goals. The striker is hot at the moment and the Energy should look to continue to ride his form.

Returning to face his former club is striker Kyle Greig, who played two seasons with the Energy from 2014-2015. In his two-year stint, the forward scored a total of 16 goals, making him a star amongst OKC’s fanbase. The 27-year-old opted to leave in the 2016 season to join the Vancouver Whitecaps 2. Many speculated that Grieg made the move with the hopes of one day joining the first team MLS squad; however, that idea has yet to pan out. Grieg has spent time training with the first team and has appeared on the bench for them, but the forward has yet to make a first-team appearance for the club in an MLS match.

Location: UBC Thunderbird; Vancouver, Canada
