The injury bug continues to hit FC Dallas here this season. The club announced on Thursday that Homegrown midfielder Paxton Pomykal had successful surgery to repair a slight meniscus tear his left knee.
He suffered the injury during a training session Wednesday evening at Toyota Stadium. Dr. James Walter performed the surgery at Texas Health Center for Diagnostics and Surgery in Plano, Texas.
He was also dealing with an ankle strain that had kept him out of last week’s game against New York City FC.
Pomykal is expected to make a full recovery within four to six weeks.
The 17-year old has appeared in two games already this season for the first team while also leading the U-18s to their first Dallas Cup Super Group title earlier this spring.
