View from the East: Futbol Friday!

A trip over to San Jose was on the cards for Good Friday,

MLS: FC Dallas at San Jose Earthquakes John Hefti-USA TODAY Sports

It was great weather on Good Friday, and an awesome day to stay outside while the sun was up. The game this time was at 10pm, the unending joys of playing against west coast teams. I have to say though, I do like Avaya stadium and want to visit one day when FC Dallas plays them. It looks like a fun place to catch a game. The couch is a close second though.

Throw Your Hands Up...

...in frustration. There was so much frustration in the room (mainly from me) over two of the newer players on the squad. The frustrations were not limited to just this game however. But if I had to choose a game to showcase why I’m frustrated with Roland Lamah and Cristian Colman, it would have to be this game.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still early in the season, I’m definitely not saying we should ban them from ever playing on the team again. I’m also not saying they should keep starting either. It might benefit us to give a couple other guys a chance to start. Maybe someone that would slide to put that ball in, instead of trying to catch up with it to tuck it in.

UniMas! And Facebook?

It was awesome that the match was being streamed on Facebook plus being shown on UniMas. Having a non-terrible English option and a Spanish option is definitely a luxury. Personally, I prefer the Spanish option despite not being the most fluent. Oscar Pareja’s interviews on the Spanish language channels are always an interesting listen. Didn’t matter the language though, the ending was absolutely disappointing.

Finally your fan quote of the night: “Useless, completely useless.” - Anytime Lamah or Colman showed their worth. Harsh? Possibly. True feelings at the time? Definitely.

Did you watch on UniMas or on Facebook? Would you rather have Lamah or Colman continue starting? Both possibly? Vent any frustrations in the comments below!
