Four regular season games down for FC Dallas. Only 30 more to go on this season.

It wasn’t a great game for FC Dallas on Saturday night but it was one that saw them do just enough to pick up the three points.
When you look at the numbers from this one, having that extra player in the middle like FCD has used over the years in Javier Morales was a big factor in the win.
Jesse Gonzalez may have put himself back in the drivers seat in goal for FCD after Saturday.
The team lost a lot of shape late in the game when Minnesota was pushing but Gonzalez made damn sure he wasn’t going to let in anything easy...or anything at all really.
Switching back to the 4-2-3-1 was probably a good move against a team like Minnesota. But also putting in guys like Morales was a smart play on Oscar Pareja’s part.
The team didn’t suffer a major hangover after the loss last week but you know that loss is going to drive this group for a while.
Some folks wondered where Reggie Cannon, Paxton Pomykal and Jesus Ferreira were over the weekend when they didn’t make the 18-man game day roster. Well, they were busy with the Dallas Cup.
How about that U-14s result? Geez. Despite the big win for the U-16s in the GA Cup, other results eliminated them from moving on.

If you did not see that Atlanta-Toronto game, go back and watch it. Seriously. It was easily one of the most entertaining games of the year so far.
Oh yeah, there was also another snow game this past weekend. This time in Utah.
I rather love that Portland has a long history in the manner that they do. Now Fanendo Adi is their all-time goal scoring leader. Even compared to those NASL days.
I feel like each year you have to almost re-learn the majority of the league’s roster rules to get a better understanding of what is going on. This year was certainly no different.
