It wasn’t a great game for FC Dallas on Saturday night but it was one that saw them do just enough to pick up the three points.

When you look at the numbers from this one, having that extra player in the middle like FCD has used over the years in Javier Morales was a big factor in the win.

The team lost a lot of shape late in the game when Minnesota was pushing but Gonzalez made damn sure he wasn’t going to let in anything easy...or anything at all really.

Switching back to the 4-2-3-1 was probably a good move against a team like Minnesota. But also putting in guys like Morales was a smart play on Oscar Pareja’s part.

Dallas puts CCL dream aside...for now |

The team didn’t suffer a major hangover after the loss last week but you know that loss is going to drive this group for a while.
