Thanks to a schedule change earlier in the month, FC Dallas will spend almost a full week in Mexico as they prepare for the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals against Liga MX side Pachuca.
The club will train in Frisco on Monday and Tuesday mornings before leaving for Puebla, Mexico, on Wednesday, where they will train daily ahead of their clash with Pachuca next Tuesday.
FC Dallas originally had a league game scheduled for this weekend in Colorado but it was moved to later in the season to allow the club extra time to prepare for the second leg against Pachuca.
Pachuca’s Estadio Hidalgo is located almost 8000 feet above sea level, so getting a few days to get acclimated to the altitude is a big win for Dallas.
Pachuca does have a league match of their own to deal with this weekend against Puebla on April 1.
FC Dallas holds a 2-1 lead going into the second leg where they hope to advance to their first Champions League finals.
What do you all think of the club’s move to train in Mexico for this long ahead of Tuesday’s big game?
