Coy Craft loaned to Oklahoma City Energy

It won’t be a season long loan but Craft will get some valuable playing time again in OKC.

MLS: Portland Timbers at FC Dallas Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

For the second straight season FC Dallas has loaned Homegrown midfielder Coy Craft to USL affiliate Oklahoma City Energy FC.

The 19-year old spent 11 games with OKC last season where he scored three goals including this beauty:

So far this season, Craft has not appeared with the first team. Instead he has appeared in six matches for the U.S. U-20 National Team where he helped in a penalty shootout win over Honduras as the U.S. won the CONCACAF U-20 Championship and a berth in the 2017 FIFA World Cup.

Craft is looking to be apart of the World Cup team later this summer.

There is no official word yet on how long the loan will be but given the way things were a year ago, I would expect this to be a fluid loan where FC Dallas can recall Craft at any time.

What do you all make of Craft going back up to OKC?
