Rankings Recap: FC Dallas stays on top

FC Dallas had a good week and kept itself atop the rankings

MLS: New England Revolution at FC Dallas Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Week 3 saw FC Dallas rally from a goal down at home to win 2-1 against New England behind a brace from Maxi Urruti.

MLS - Ranking 1 (Last Week 1)

Comments: Short rest, subs, starters, leading, playing from behind ... Whatever the situation, FC Dallas stays producing results. Don't get mad, get on board.

SoccerAmerica - Ranking 1 (Last Week 2)

Comments: Two more goals provided more angst for those Timbers’ fans who were disappointed when Maxi Urruti departed. He equalized after Michael Barrios ran down a long ball and the ball bounced free from a goalkeeper challenge, and struck the winner after picking an opponent’s pocket.

SI Planet Futbol - Ranking 1 (Last Week 1)

Comments: It’s early in the season, but Dallas’s form has been simply ridiculous. Not only has Oscar Pareja’s side opened the season with seven points of a possible nine, but it has done so while playing (and winning) in midweek CONCACAF Champions League games. Everybody is chipping in, including Maxi Urruti, who had two goals in Saturday’s 2–1 win over New England.

ESPNFC - Ranking 2 (Last Week 2)

Comments: Back at close-to-full strength in league play, Dallas looked fatigued against the New England Revolution following their CONCACAF Champions League win over Pachuca at midweek, but still managed to pull off a 2-1 win at home.

Goal - Ranking 1 (Last Week 1)

Comments: It appears that Maxi Urruti has found his scoring boots this year, and they were needed as Dallas had to come from behind to claim its latest victory – a 2-1 win over New England.
