FC Dallas vs Sporting Kansas City: Match Predictions

New, 3 comments
MLS: FC Dallas at Sporting KC Peter G. Aiken-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas continue to start the season on the road, taking tonight’s game over at Sporting Kansas City and their infamous Blue Hell. It’s been so long since Dallas has won at SKC, that the last time featured Bobby Warshaw’s first MLS goal and Brek Shea was still considered and up and coming talent.

The staff are a bit mixed on this one with the club’s next CCL match just four days away. Here’s what we got:

FCD vs SKC Predictions

Name Result for FCD FCD Score Opposition Score Commentary
Name Result for FCD FCD Score Opposition Score Commentary
Ben Lyon Win 1 0 I'm not picking against this team right now. They've got vertically integrated momentum happening and a mere one game this week.
Cody Gamond Win 3 1 Skc defense gets blasted in the first half, 3 goals 2 from Roland Lamah and 1 from Cristian Colman. Dwyer claws 1 back late, but its a consolation.
Drew Epperley Draw 1 1 It will be cold and ugly. But I think FCD escapes Kansas City with a solid point and no issues from the officials.
Etan Cohn Win 3 1 I think we see a 4-2-3-1 formation shift to rest a couple players for Wednesday. A draw from this match would be fine, but I'm feeling a win.
Jack Hazzard Win 2 1 Urruti & Colman with the goals!
Jared Tilley Loss 1 2 Playing at SKC has always been a bugaboo for FCD and I don't see that changing this week. I wasn't overwhelmed by SKC's first game but playing in KC for their home opener is going to be a huge task. Add on top of that, a chance of snow and it all seems like a big hill to climb. I think FCD is the better team, but I just don't think they will be able to pull it out this week.
Jason Poon Loss 1 3
Jose Antonio Carmona Win 2 1 People will point out the abysmal FCD record of 1-5-1 at Children's Mercy Park. Forget all that nonsense. FCD is simply playing at a higher gear than any MLS team this early into the season. The last game between the two, ended with a 2-0 loss, even though FCD dominated the match. This time FCD will get it right, as Colmán and Tesho both tally their first MLS goals of the season.
Mohammad Bushnaq Loss 1 3 This is SKC's home opener and I can see Dallas looking ahead to Pachuca and slipping up.
Nathan Hill Draw 1 1 SKC outplays FC Dallas and feels disappointed not to win as a late stunner from Colman earns the visitors a huge away point.
Phil Luetchford Loss 1 2 SKC away is one of our bogey teams. Plus, with CCL looming four days later, Pareja will choose to rotate several players. A close loss will be nothing to worry about.
Ryan Scanlon Draw 1 1 SKC hits the post a number of times as they try and get the 3 points from FC Dallas.

What do you guys think? Think FCD can walk out with a win?
