Quick Burns: Who are the most disappointing HGPs in FCD history? | Big D Soccer

A couple of our staffers discussed yesterday who they thought were on the disappointing side of things in the HGP department. FCD does have a slew of former HGPs out there these days. Hopefully we won’t be adding any of the current guys to this list down the road.

Zimmerman expected to get his first cap with the USMNT | Big D Soccer

This one came down late last night but we’re all super excited to see Walker Zimmerman in action tonight against Jamaica.

FCD getting into game mode three weeks out from CCL |

Next week’s trip to Argentina will get FCD ready in a hurry. That is for sure.

For the good of the team? | Total MLS

Energy around expansion markets leaving old clubs in catch up mode | FourFourTwo

A great post from our pal Steve Davis on the tough game that original clubs like FCD are dealing with these days.

Breaks going San Diego’s way in MLS expansion | Angels on Parade

With the way things are going up the coast in Sacramento, we could easily see San Diego sneak in here with their big. I do love their stadium renders too, they may be my favorite of the bunch.

All three of Atlanta’s DPs are under 25 years old. To me that is more impressive than anything else. Martinez is yet another attacking DP though, which does make me wonder how exactly their defense will be this year.

Union add forward Fafa Picault | Brotherly Game

A former capped American added to a bunch of already capped Americans on the Union roster. I think they want to be America’s team folks.

Earthquakes add European duo |

So they get a Dutch forward and a German defensive midfielder with their TAM. I haven’t cared much for their offseason but I do like the looks of these two moves.
