A new month is here.

The preseason is about to speed up here as FC Dallas enters the month of February.

Craft named to U-20 camp roster for CONCACAF Championship | Big D Soccer

I think it will be a big year for Coy Craft, which means we likely won’t see a ton of him with FC Dallas until later this summer since he will be busy with the U-20s.

Ulloa sidelined with sport hernia injury |

At least this sort of thing is getting taken care of during the preseason and not midway through the year.

Aldo Quevedo goes from the Academy to Yale |

National signing day for college sports is here and FC Dallas is sending a slew of players to college in both the boys and girls side. Quevedo is one of the bigger names in the U-18s as he is going to Yale.

Reports are saying that the league is working to get Real Madrid in for this one. That should be cool.

12 teams enter MLS expansion race |

Yesterday was deadline day for the MLS expansion race and 12 cities entered. I’ll have more today on this race with who I see getting the call.

Proposed San Diego team hopes to co-exist with Liga MX’s Tijuana | ESPNFC

If anything, set up an annual midseason friendly/rivalry game and call it a day. Both teams would be fine in the area together. I just don’t know if San Diego can overcome some of the other markets in the running.

I think we all know Sacramento is the front-runner for the next expansion bid and seeing them add Hewlett-Packard Enterprise CEO Meg Whitman to their ownership group only strengthens their bid in my mind.

MLS looks for flexibility in their TV schedule |

Did you notice that we’re losing a lot of Friday night games on UniMas this year? I honestly didn’t think much of it when the schedule came out.

They are said to have paid over a $1 million for this guy. This is one of those DP signings that look really good too.
