New, 6 comments

Yesterdays’ rumor becomes today’s headline.

FC Dallas has signed outside back Anton Nedyalkov from Bulgarian side CKSA Sofia, pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate, the club announced today. Per league and team policy, terms of the deal will not be disclosed.

According to the release, no Targeted Allocation Money or Designated Player slots were used to sign Nedyalkov.

The 24-year old has appeared in 129 first division matches in Bulgaria, including stints on loan and with his most-recent club, CSKA Sofia.

We reported on the rumor of this signing yesterday. It is good to see things come together so quickly as FC Dallas passed in the second stage of the Re-Entry Draft on Thursday.

Nedyalkov adds depth to a defense that needs work this offseason. FCD president Dan Hunt has stated many times that the team would build through the defense this offseason.

What do you make of this signing? Happy to see some reinforcements added?
