FC Dallas finally stops sinking

Welcome back to another week of the MLS Power Rankings. FC Dallas finally got back on the winning side of things Wednesday, with a 2-0 victory over Colorado. FCD then followed that up with a 0-0 draw on Saturday at Orlando City SC.

The 2 results combined to see FCD finally climb ever so slightly up the rankings.


MLS - Ranking 15 (Last Week 18)

Comments: Uh … at least they stopped the streak? Games in hand are not points in hand. Time to get those Ws.

ESPNFC - Ranking 15 (Last Week 18)

Comments: The Texans rise in the rankings thanks to a four-point week, including a 2-0 win over Colorado, their first since late July. That game in hand will be crucial to their playoff hopes.

Soccer America - Ranking 13 (Last Week 19)

Comments: Finally the 10-game skid is over yet FCD didn’t dazzle while accruing four very valuable points. It held firm after striking twice early through Maynor Figueroa and Roland Lamah, and then carved out another shutout on the road against a potent foe.

The Score - Ranking 14 (Last Week 16)

Comments: FC Dallas managed to get three points out of Colorado and stall Orlando's momentum. Not a bad week.

One Football - Ranking 13 (Last Week 13)

Comments: They did it! FC Dallas finally won a game, beating Colorado 2-0 at home in mid-week to end a winless run that stretched back to July. Normal service was resumed on in a 0-0 draw against Orlando on the weekend, meaning Dallas head into their final three games in eighth place.
