The MLS Combine is under way.

The league’s annual SuperDraft is this week as everyone is in LA at the moment scouting during the Combine.

The check has cleared. The deal is finally done. Now FC Dallas has an open DP slot and a fair amount of cash to play with.

FCD has a long history of going defensive with their first round pick in the SuperDraft. A couple of these guys won’t likely fall to them but you never know what Fernando Clavijo has up his sleeve.

A small school player like Tesho Akindele was a wild pick for the club a couple years ago but sometimes things like that just work out.

This is probably one of the more underrated developments that came out over the weekend. Colorado now goes into a draft without a GM.

Both get to be D2 this year as it was really the only good option on the table that didn’t involving folding clubs and leaving fans without teams to support.

The USL are easily the bigger winners in this as the NASL was slow to celebrate this news over the weekend. I think there are still more balls to drop on this but at least this part of the saga is over.
