FC Dallas second-year forward Colin Bonner and midfielder Timo Pitter have both retired.

Bonner retires to pursue career with business degree from UNC Wilmington. It is likely that Pitter is going to head back to his home country in Germany.

Bonner made one appearance, playing 27 minutes against Seattle on July 13, in a match that FCD was forced to play a man down for 86 minutes. Bonner was loaned to USL-affiliate Oklahoma City Energy FC, where he scored four goals in 17 matches.

Pitter, a fan favorite due to his scoring in the 2016 preseason, made one MLS appearance, playing the final nine minutes of 3-0 win against D.C. United on March 26, 2016. Pitter was also loaned to the Energy, where he scored four goals and had two assists in 13 appearances.

The move not only opens some roster spots for FC Dallas but also frees up an international roster slot that Pitter was occupying.
