Some interesting notes to dive into here:

Longest road trip is June 10-23. The club will spend two weekends in Cascadia before traveling back to Texas to play Houston.

Longest home stand is May 14-28. Three straight games at home in the middle of spring is always nice. Two of them are nationally televised games.

FC Dallas is on national TV eight times, with most of them coming on Spanish-speaking channels. Then there are the three games they’re on TV in Canada too.

New quirks to schedule. FC Dallas plays each Western Conference team at least two times with Sporting KC, Colorado and Houston getting the three games against FCD.

Expansion teams. FCD gets to visit both new MLS sides this year.

New stadiums to visit. FCD also gets to visit a pair of new venues in 2017 with Orlando and Atlanta’s new digs opening up in 2017.

October. For the second straight year we get Seattle and LA to end the season. Oddly enough we don’t see LA at all in-between our season opener there and the season finale here.

Where Champions League fits in will be interesting. If FCD advances next month to the semifinals and then to the finals, don’t be shocked to see some of those early season games get moved as a result. The first leg of the semifinals is set for March 14-16 with the second leg at the beginning of April. Finals are set for April 19 & 26. The fall schedule is up in the air still but we’ll dive into that one later.
