Squad Selection: What changes do you make for the Texas Derby?

New, 5 comments

FC Dallas looks to end a four-game skid as they host Houston.

MLS: FC Dallas at Sporting KC Peter G. Aiken-USA TODAY Sports

The skid has been rough on FC Dallas as they enter the final leg of the Texas Derby with the Houston Dynamo on Wednesday night. Four games without a win and only one goal to show for during that time.

Now the Dynamo enter Toyota Stadium with plenty to prove while FCD hopes this is the game to end the skid. Oscar Pareja opted to keep Mauro Diaz out of the lineup last week in KC for precautionary reasons, so we should see his return on Wednesday. Does that mean a return to the 4-2-3-1? Or will a stay in the 4-4-2 remain on the docket for another week?

We do know that Luis Gonzalez is in Frisco and has been going through his medical and early training but it is unknown if he’ll be available for selection on Wednesday night.

Here is what we know going into the match in terms of availability:

LOAN: Anibal Chala (LDU Quito)

QUESTIONABLE: Mauro Diaz (hamstring)
