Squad Selection: Which lineup will work best against New York City FC?

New, 3 comments

Do you stick with the 4-4-2 for another week?

MLS: FC Dallas at Real Salt Lake Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas is back at home this week as they open up a two-game home stand when they host New York City FC on Sunday.

Last week in Utah, Oscar Pareja opted to stick with the 4-4-2 formation, where he placed Tesho Akindele up top with Maxi Urruti, thus allowing Michael Barrios to come back into the lineup on the wings. The result seemed to work as the team won 3-0 in a pretty solid game all around.

But what does Pareja do this week against one of the better teams from the Eastern Conference? Does Javier Morales return to the lineup after sitting out last week’s Utah trip?

Here is what we know going into the match in terms of availability:

OUT: Mauro Diaz (Achilles)

QUESTIONABLE: Anibal Chala (abdominal strain)

INTERNATIONAL DUTY: Bryan Reynolds (U17s)

LOAN: Coy Craft (OKC Energy)

Not many players will be missing for this one, so the selection is pretty good for Pareja. Let us know who you picked below.
