FC Dallas vs LA Galaxy: Preview, TV schedule and how to watch online

FC Dallas looks to lock up the sixth and final playoff spot.

MLS: FC Dallas at Los Angeles Galaxy Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The season finale is here for FC Dallas as they host the LA Galaxy for the first time this season.

LA is coming in fresh off a win last weekend against Minnesota. Dallas as we know is coming off a blowout loss at Seattle.

FC Dallas notes:

Injury update. No injuries to discuss right now.

Previous meeting. These two sides met at the season opener back in March. FCD came away witha 2-1 win.

Backing into the end of the season. Dallas has only won once in their last 14 league games (7L-6D) and failed to score in six of those matches.

Getting that first goal. Since 2015, FCD is 35-2-6 when scoring first. Dallas’ only losses were a 2‐1 defeat to the LA Galaxy on Aug. 15, 2015 and a 4-1 loss to Minnesota United on September 23 of this year.

Key player for FCD: Mauro Diaz.

Biggest Question: Will Oscar Pareja over think his lineup selection again?

Last week we saw Pareja insert Kellyn Acosta and Tesho Akindele into the wings with Michael Barrios as a lone striker in his recent 4-3-3 look. For the first 25 minutes against Seattle it worked well in getting some chances but once the second half rolled in the formation didn’t work out as the defensive shape fell apart. Will Pareja ditch the 4-3-3 and go back to a 4-2-3-1? With the season on the line it could be smart to see them go back to a familiar look.

LA Notes:

Key player for LA: Romain Alessandrini - If you need a bright spot for the Galaxy this year it has to be their DP who has 13 goals on the season.

Injuries: OUT - D Robbie Rogers (ankle), M Sebastian Lletget (foot), M Baggio Husidic (leg), D Pele Van Anholt (knee), D Daniel Steres (back); F Bradford Jamieson IV (adductor)
