FC Dallas head coach Oscar Pareja
On coaching this team...
The boys have put all the circumstances away, with a lot of professionalism, with a lot of soul and care with the games. At home and away, getting points. They are really focused on what they want. The thing that I like the most, this group has taken the journey one step at a time. I don't want to oversee too many things. I wanted to just perform every day, the way they are, and that makes me feel very honored to coach them.
FC Dallas midfielder Victor Ulloa
On the teams’ chances of winning...
We've said it since the beginning of the year that we want to win. We want to win something for this club and for us. Tonight the guys did great and showed that character and resilience. Even with the guys gone with the national team, we're built to win a championship. We're built to step up and everybody stepped up a little bit tonight.
FC Dallas defender Walker Zimmerman
On scoring his goal in the second half...
That's why you play the game, to score goals. Even though I'm a defender I think I have that forward's mentality. I just love scoring. It gives you that thrill and adrenaline. There's nothing like it. That's why you play the game. To have Mauro over there, hitting in great balls is obviously extremely helpful. So I think on that particular goal we saw the same space and he just put in a perfect spot and I was able to put it past the keeper.
