FC Dallas vs Real Salt Lake: Match Predictions

Will FC Dallas be able to generate a vintage road result at Rio Tinto to stay in pole position for the Supporters Shield?

El Pescadito bags the winner tonight. Book it.

Big big match on the road tonight at Rio Tinto, a place FC Dallas seemingly struggles to play in all too often. Our writers seem to be pretty optimistic about tonight (I think out of pure hope) because we know how big three points would be for the Supporters Shield race.

The race for the BigDSoccer Fortuneteller award is heating up. Here are how the standings are shaking up as of today.

As for today, as mentioned earlier, the staff seems to be fairly optimistic for a road match. Here are our predictions. What do you think happens tonight?

Name Result FCD RSL Comments
Ben Lyon Win 2 1 Dallas gets the lead and holds on despite a late flurry from RSL. Goals for Diaz and Urruti.
Cody Gamond Win 1 0 Really tight game, but late one Urruti finds a spectacular winner.
Drew Epperley Draw 1 1 Another snoozer between these two clubs.
Jack Hazzard Draw 1 1 Not looking forward to this match. Looks to be a snoozer. Urruti will continue to score.
Jared Tilley Win 1 0 Dallas get out to a hot start and scores through Urruti. They are able to hold on for a massive 3 points.
Jason Poon Win 1 0 Own goal bags the winner.
Mohammad Bushnaq Win 2 1 Carlos Gruezo is way overdue for a goal and since I am predicting him to get one, I will also say that El Pescadito nabs the winner for his first goal of the season.
Nathan Hill Win 2 1 Mauro plays another MVP type game, feeding Urruti and Barrios and withstanding a fierce RSL rally.
Phil Luetchford Draw 1 1 Both Nick Rimando and Chris Seitz make huge saves as the game is tight and tense throughout. Matt Hedges scores as each team converts a set piece.
Ryan Scalon Draw 2 2 FCD gets the point it wanted, but its' inability to close out games on the road becomes a little more worrisome. Hollingshead and Barrios get the goals.
Scott Hiney Win 2 1 How they played against NYCFC only further makes me believe this team can consistently create chances from start to finish. Maxi and Mauro Rosales find the net in the second half to take all three points.
