Even though FC Dallas didn’t get the win this weekend in NYC, they did get some favorable results elsewhere in MLS.

One positive thing in my book was seeing both Michael Barrios and Maxi Urruti pick up goals in this one. We need them to get and remain hot for the rest of the year.
Our other look at the game goes a bit deeper with the numbers and stats. It was a wild one indeed.
Good showcase sure, at least in terms of play on the field but man that field is tiny when you really get honest about things.
I know FCD is going to want that game back though in the end. Still, a draw on the road isn’t the worst thing this time of the year.
One more item from late last week that didn’t hit our links talks about how the Carlos Ruiz move makes sense for FCD right now.

Matt Doyle looks at this week’s results in his weekly post. Crazy point to give out is how six of the teams at the top of the league standings all drew this weekend, because MLS.
Another weekend recap of sorts looks at our game with City, how Landon Donovan scored again and the wild battle in the Eastern Conference.
While I don’t think we can count teams like LA or Colorado out just yet, it does appear to be FCD’s to lose and TFC’s to win right now. TFC did clinch a playoff berth in their draw yesterday too.
We cannot ignore how well the schedule sets up TFC late in the year. I know most of you haven’t but NY not getting the win yesterday evening really hurt.
Of course he came on and scored a game-tying goal. Of course he did.
