As great as it was to celebrate yesterday, we gotta move on to this weekend’s game with NYC. But we still have plenty of post-USOC love to spread around.

Dan Hunt was all smiles Wednesday night. But as one of you pointed out, take a closer look at the names above Oscar Pareja in that photo too. Pretty much all the top academy guys are right there in some kind of order.
In a crazy turn of things, it sounds like we’re getting an old friend/nemesis for the remainder of the season.
More love on how good Diaz was on Tuesday night. Definitely one of those games that will go down as one of the best in club history.
Steve Davis checks in with his thoughts on the win and how this is a big step for the club and the league to have a team win with such a youthful flare.
Brian Straus and I had a few talks about this while he was writing this piece on Tuesday night. I think it turned out pretty well in the end. FCD isn’t cheap in their spending, if anything they are turning out to be pretty darn smart.
Once again the question comes to mind, is this the start of something big for this club?
Five more games to go in the regular season, and Oscar Pareja knows that he has a big one ahead in the Big Apple that could go a long way for them.

A team-by-team look at what is left for each in the Shield race.
Really, Tom Soehn? Didn’t they watch Vancouver’s first year a while back? Ekk.
The Canadian FA had some pretty strict words about how Canadian players are treated in MLS. I doubt this actually comes to anything but it may be worth keeping tabs on.
Sitting at a media roundtable with Don Garber on Tuesday night, he had some interesting thoughts on expansion in the league. One interesting point made, at least in my mind, was that the league is done expanding in Canada. The other was on how patient they are trying to be in Miami.

Well this could be interesting. I doubt it will affect any matches FCD has in the CCL with a Guatemalan team but you never really know with these doping scandals.
