Road to USOC finals for FCD. FC Dallas has left it late in nearly all of their USOC matches thus far by winning in penalty kicks in the fifth round against USL affiliate OKC Energy, a late 1-0 win in Houston in the quarterfinals and then an overtime winner in LA in the semifinals.

Against New England. FC Dallas found the back of the net four times to defeat New England, 4‐2, at Gillette Stadium on May 21, the only meeting between the two sides this season. The sides were all square at 2-2 at the half before Kellyn Acosta helped find Atiba Harris for the game-winner.

First goal success. According to the game notes, FCD had a 15‐1‐2 record during the 2015 regular season when scoring first. Dallas’ only loss was a 2‐1 defeat to the LA Galaxy on Aug. 15. FCD is 12‐1‐2 this season when scoring first.
