Two games down on this three game road trip for FC Dallas, with one big one left in Houston on Saturday.

As you might expect, like with most Champions League games, it wasn’t pretty for the most part but at least FC Dallas got a result.
If you look at last night’s starting lineup, there were a fair amount of reserves but more importantly there were a lot of veteran faces on the field. You need that in moments like last night when the club went down early.
One more call on this post that our staff came together for this week. FC Dallas needs a big player to step up in these final few weeks of the regular season. We offer up who we think it should be.
This has always been a good story for FCD fans. A Homegrown player that got cut and then worked his way back thanks to a coach that knew there was still something in him to make this team.
We all knew that having a healthy and determined Walker Zimmerman would be a good thing for the club this year. But I would argue he has been one of the team’s MVPs so far this season.

Don’t look now but there is an Eastern Conference side up near the top of the standings. Toronto now sits only two points back of FCD in the Supporter Shield race. More importantly, they only have two road games left this season.
Houston hosted Seattle in a midweek game (hopefully they’ll be spent after that one). There was also a call for a goal that seemed in on replays for Seattle but in the end this one stayed level at 1-1.
Another draw on the night was up in Chicago as the Fire had a decent lead on LA at one point but the stars from the Galaxy were able to muscle their way back and get a road draw.
Quietly the Philadelphia Union continue to get results.
Sound the alarm, there is a little stadium porn to look at this morning.
