Well, let’s put last weekend behind us a bit and move on to the busy week ahead that includes a game with Houston on Saturday.

There wasn’t a lot of excitement for FCD in this one on Saturday night. Only a few brief chances that never really tested Nick Rimando.
The connection play up top just wasn’t good. The passing was decent at best. Everything else in between looked like a team that didn’t want to win or lose.
From the RSL side of things, our partner blog out in Utah liked the way the pressure looked out of their side on Saturday. FCD does struggle with those high pressure clubs.

Matt Doyle gives us his usual take at the week and what all went down. He isn’t wrong in the fact that FCD needed to work on their finishing, especially given the fact that Colorado left points on the table and tied Orlando at home.
More thoughts on the weekend from the World Wide Leader.
Another win for Seattle as they look like the Sounders we all expected them to be this season. Their late surge is starting to look like one that will end in a playoff trip.
Ha. Not this season pal.
Good grief, this kind of thing shouldn’t happen in soccer. Any where.
Really cool to see Minnesota keep their name and possible that lovely logo as well (MLS states there will be some minor updates to it). They’ll join us in the Western Conference, so that means we’ll get at least a couple games with the new club next year.
Yes folks, there will be an expansion draft.
Wow. Think about that for a moment. That would fill most soccer specific stadiums in MLS. Very impressive.
There are some pretty interesting comments in this one from a former MLSer.
