The week is almost over here as FC Dallas is getting ready to go to Utah to battle Real Salt Lake.

Yesterday’s big news revolved around the stadium construction and how it would be a little less than originally intended due to high construction costs. Really high construction costs. Normally you expect things like that to go up but $16 million ahead of what they expect was a lot.
One of the few veteran players on this club this season is Maynor Figueroa. While he hasn’t entirely been that impressive, there is some intangible about him that seems to work with this group.
I mean, so far so good right? But there are still a lot of games left on the schedule this season that could change how things go for this club. Still, this piece brings out a lot of interesting points that are worth diving into.
Another week, another post about FCD going for the treble. Please give me one trophy before we really get into this talk.
And then there is this tweet:
Dan Hunt on starting own USL affiliate: “We’ve been talking about it and trying to work on a plan. They really need their own venue."— Stephen Hunt (@dfwsportsguy93) August 17, 2016

Here are some really good numbers to look at in terms of strength of schedule in the remaining games for FC Dallas and everyone else. We really need Colorado to stumble in a couple games.
Matt Doyle gives us a lot of thoughts here on why Jozy Altidore is still good.
Seattle’s newest star shined pretty darn bright last weekend.
I always enjoy hearing tails about how players comes to teams. Seattle getting a guy like Nicolas Lodeiro does mean big things for them. Especially if he can get them into the playoffs this year.
I’m still bummed that there wasn’t a way FC Dallas could have landed him.
