FC Dallas is flying high after an absolutely thumping victory over Orlando City SC at home on July 4th. A quick turnaround sees the team travel to San Jose to play a team that always seems to have their number on the road. Nobody was able to accurately predict the explosion from the FC Dallas offense and stinginess of the defense, but we had a couple of people get close and I have given Jason an extra bonus point for being the closest to the result in his far-fetched way.
Here are the updated standings with Jason and Drew on Jared's heels with 19 points each:
Taylor | 26 |
Cody | 23 |
Mohammad | 22 |
Phil | 21 |
Jared | 20 |
How do we think tonight's match plays out? Do you agree with our predictions? Sound off in the comments!
Name | Result | FCD | SJ | Comments |
Andy Jaeger | ||||
Becky Chabot | ||||
Ben Lyon | Win | 2 | 1 | With consummate hack, serial murderer, and noted Justin Bieber fan Victor Bernardez likely to miss through injury, the duo of Castillo and Urruti cut through the Quakes back line through a warm knife through butter. Bernardez still manages to earn (deserved) a yellow card. |
Cody Gamond | Win | 3 | 0 | FCD keeps the roll going with goals from Zimmerman, Urruti, and Castillo. |
Drew Epperley | Draw | 1 | 1 | These two sides know nothing about beating one another this season. |
Jack Hazzard | Draw | 1 | 1 | Diaz with the goal. It'll be a boring match that is very "tactical." Tons of chances for Dallas, but they won't convert. SJ get a goal off of a defensive mistake. |
Jared Tilley | Win | 2 | 0 | Dallas continues its good form with another shutout win. Goals from Fabian and Tesho. |
Jason Poon | Loss | 2 | 0 | :( |
Mohammad Bushnaq | Win | 2 | 1 | Papi's men turn over a new leaf on their visits to San Jose and come out victorious in a hard-fought road victory. Diaz continues to dazzle and sets up Castillo for a goal before Hollingshead finishes the Quakes off in California. |
Nathan Hill | Win | 1 | 0 |
This feels like it could go either way but FCD gets a quirky goal off of a San Jose mistake. After the game, Wondo begs Pareja to sign him away from San Jose. Alas, it was not meant to be. |
Phil Luetchford | Win | 1 | 0 | On an opportunistic poach by Fabi as the SJ defense tires in the second half. |
Ryan Scalon | Loss | 1 | 0 | Dominic Kinnear finally plays the right combination of players as they snap their 7 game winless streak. Fc Dallas struggles to find any openings as their tired legs don't cooperate this night. |
Scott Hiney | Per the agreement of our loan policy with FC Dallas' front office, Scott Hiney will forfeit his predictions until the loan comes to an end. | |||
Taylor Hester | Win | 2 | 0 | FCD rides the momentum from the Orlando game to shutout San Jose on the road. Urruti gets one and so does Barrios. |
