New, comments

A blowout win brings a high ranking once again.

MLS: Orlando City SC at FC Dallas Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas finished out a home stand with a nice 4-0 blowout win over Orlando City. The pollsters are finally done with their weekly rankings and as one might expect, FCD remains near the top.

MLSSoccer.com Ranking: 2 (last week 2)

Comment: They're now 5-1-2 in their last eight, with a +9 goal differential – and, presumably, more goal-scoring help on the way now that the transfer window is open. They've already bolstered the defensive corps a bit as well. Dallas have the feel of a boulder starting to roll downhill...

Soccer America Ranking: 2 (last week 2)

Comment: Defenders Walter Zimmerman and Matt Hedges accounted for two of the goals and Mauro Diaz picked up two assists as FCD won a second straight game. Holding Orlando City SC to zero shots on goal also deserves mention.

ESPNFC.com Ranking: 1 (last week 5)

Comment: When FC Dallas is at their best, invariably at home, they can do what they did to Orlando on Monday -- dominate for 90 minutes. The issue in north Texas isn't talent, it's consistency.
