After a predictable and simple win against the Tulsa Roughnecks last weekend, the Oklahoma City Energy FC will travel north to the World Wide Technology Soccer Park in Fenton, Missouri to take on the Western Conference side Saint Louis FC.

Following the conclusion of last weekend's dominant 3-0 performance against the Roughnecks, the Energy found themselves fourth in the Western Conference with 31 points, only four points behind first-place Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2. Creeping up closely behind is the Energy's weekend opponents, Saint Louis FC, who have recently caught impressive form over the last couple of months.

Having played most of their early matches this season away due to field maintenance following a harsh storm, Saint Louis FC will finally enjoy a string of home matches. Their first of four home games in a row began last weekend as STLFC defeated Western Conference club Colorado Springs Switchbacks in a dominant 2-1 victory that saw beloved Saint Louis stars James Musa and Irvin Herrera score the side's two goals.

This Saturday night's match will be the second of four meetings between the two clubs this season. The first match resulted in an epic 2-2 draw at the Energy's home, Taft Stadium, that saw FC Dallas' loanee Coy Craft score a 58th-minute screamer in order to end the match in a draw.

Fans of Oklahoma should keep an eye out for Saint Louis and El Salvador international Irvin Herrera, who currently has a total of 10 goals this season, a record-setting stat for the newly created USL club. In addition, midfielder/defender James Musa is a brick wall in midfield and defence, implying that he will create some issues for the Energy's midfield.

Although Saint Louis will enjoy playing in front of their home fans, it will be a huge challenge to defeat Jimmy Nielsen's hot Energy FC squad. Going into this weekend's match, the Energy will have gone seven games unbeaten and are coming off of a dominant 3-0 derby win against the Tulsa Roughnecks. The Western Conference battle should result in an epic match, however, unlike the last meeting between the two, it will be the OKC Energy FC taking home the win in this one.
